March F1 car for 1976 season was at the disposal of works March Engineering team  with Ronnie Peterson, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Vittorio Brambilla, Arturo Merzario and Lella Lombardi. Due to a small budget, the cars tending to turn up in different liveries as race-by-race sponsorship deals were signed. Brambilla was entered under Beta sponsorship, Merzaio raced for Ovoro and Lombardi was sponsored by Lavazza. Vittorio Brambilla continued to race for March for the third consecutive season, and for the second season under Beta sponsorship.  The hopes after his first and only GP victory in 1975 Austrian Grand Prix was high, but the 761 was very fragile and unreliable despite being quite fast. Brambilla managed to finish 6th in Zandvoort, while Ronnie Peterson was able to drove the same works  761 to the victory at the fastest race of the season at Monza. The contemporary model was made by Italian Polistil company. Compare with the model by John Day.
