McLaren M29 was introduced in 1979 and in next versions B and C was also used in the next season. In 1980 Alain Prost made his debut in Formula 1 finishing in the points (6th position) in his very first race at Argentinian Grand Prix. M29 in general was quite far from the leaders – Williams, Ligier, Brabham and Lotus, so at the end of the season Prost and his teammate John Watson found themselves on 16th and 11th position in the Championship, despite only in 1 point from each other. The scale model was produced by Solido in 2000s as a part of small Alain Prost Collection.
