In the 1983 Formula 1 season the Osella team use two different models. The Squadra started the season with Cosworth-powered FA1D, and then switched to FA1E with Alfa Romeo naturally aspirated engine. Both variants of the 1983 Osella car were equally non-competitive. Usually Piercarlo Ghinzani and Corrado Fabi who drove Osella in 1983, failed to qualify for the race. Fot Ghinzani, who had a couple of appearances in Osella in 1981, the 1983 season was his first full F1 season. Corrado Fabi, the younger brother of Teo, also was the f1 debutant.
