The legendary “Alfetta” was the winning car of the first World Drivers’ Championship in 1950. Three “F” – Farina, Fangio and Fagioli were unbeatable and have won all Grand Prix races counted to the Championship. At British Grand Prix, first Grand Epreuve of the season and first World Championship race, Fangio drove the car #1 to the third place in the training sessions but retired in the race due to oil pipe failure.

Luppa released this Alfetta as 159 from 1951 but Fangio never raced in 1951 an Alfetta with #1. The only race (including 1950 and 1951) that Fangio raced with #1 was at British GP in 1950 as you described but he do not finish the race. He abandon the race on lap 62.
