





Mario Andretti and Elio de Angelis drove the 81 in the 1980 Formula One World Championship. Powered by standard Cosworth DFV 3.0 litre V8, the 81 was a conventional ground –effect car. The best results was Elio de Angelis’s 2nd place in Brazil, while Mario Andretti was able to score a single point only at the final trace of the season in USA Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.
