The F8D was raced by Fittipaldi Automotive in the first part of the 1982 Formula 1 season. Actually the car was a slightly modified F8C that had raced through most of the 1981 season. Young Brazilian Chico Serra, who scored a single point for the 6th place in the Belgian Grand Prix, was the single entry of the team.
