Rubens Barrichello and Martin Brundle drove Jordan 196 in the 1996 Formula One season. The car designed by Gary Anderson and powered by Peugeot engine was regular mid-field runner and the team finished 5th in the Constructors standings. Barrichello scored 14 points and was 8th in the Drivers’ championship, while Brundle finished 11th with 8 points. Jordan continued sponsorship deal with Benson and Hedges that saw the cars turn gold for the majority of the 1996 season, and raced for the first five races in a mustard shade that failed to impress on TV. At two races held in Germany – European Grand Prix at Nurburgring, round 4, and German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, round 11, Jordan raced with “Special F1” decals instead of “B&H”. At Nurburgring the painting was more yellow, and at Hockenheim it was gold. The model from the Brazilian Legends collection represents Barrichello’s car from the European Grand Prix.
