In the 1998 IRL season American Billy Boat raced in IRL for A.J. Foyt’s team for the second consecutive year. In 1998 Boat achieved his first and only victory in IRL race winning True Value 100 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Boat was 13th in the championship, while his teammate Kenny Brack from Sweden won the title scoring three wins.
