Peter van den Bosch, CEO of Van den Bosch Transporten logistic company, was the regular Dakar participant in 2010s. In the 2012 he raced for XDakar.com team, driving on of the three trucks of the stable. Frits van Eerd and Eimbert Timmermans were the two other drivers of the XDakar team. The start of the 2012 edition took place in the Argentine resort of Mar del Plata on the first day of that year, the finish took place on Sunday January 15. All three trucks of the XDakar team reached the finish line, however, with some problems . Van den Bosch was 20th in the truck’s final standings.
