Martin van den Brink, a Dutch rally driver living in Harskamp, founded the van den Brink Rallysport foundation in 2008. A rally team is maintained with main sponsor Mammoet, a privately held Dutch company specializing in engineered heavy lifting and transport of large objects, under the name Mammoet Rallysport. The partnership with Mammoet lasted over 15 years until 2022. First, Ginaf trucks were used. Later they switched to Renault trucks. In the 2016 Dakar rally, van den Brink saw his Renault K520 truck go up in flames in the second stage.
