Scuderia Ferrari entered fourth works car for Olivier Gendebien for the 1961 Belgian Grand Prix. Three cars driven by Ginther, Phil Hill and von Trips were painted red in the tradition of the national racing colour of Italy, and Gendebien’s car was painted in a Belgian racing yellow. Apart from two NART entries in the 1964 season this was the last time a Ferrari car wore other than the traditional red colour in Formula One. Belgian driver set the 3rd best practice time and finished in 4th position behind tree other Ferrari cars.
