Brazilian Luiz Pereira Bueno began his career in 1958. He raced in touring car events in Brazil, with achievements such as the Mil Milhas Brasileiras in 1967. His peak was in the 1970s, when he founded and joined the Hollywood team, which was one of the most successful teams in the country. In 1972 Bueno raced in the Brazilian Grand Prix (non-championship race that year) on rented March car and finished credibly 6th. The following season he raced at home again, this time for Surtees, finishing 12th.
