





The BRM P201 was a compact F1 car designed by Mike Pilbeam and featured angular flanks terminating in prominent radiatots and a deep cockpit surround. Elderly BRM P200 V12 engine powered the car. Jean-Pierre Beltoise placed the car second in the car’s debutr race, 1974 South African Grand Prix. The car races full seasons in 1974 and 1975 as Stanley-BRM. Upgraded to P201B specification, the car made only one appearance in each of the 1976 and 1977 seasons. At the 1976 Brazilian Grand Prix, British driver Ian Ashley qualified in 21st place and retired on lap three, with oil pump failure.
