Grand Prix History in Scale Models

1986, Christian Danner, Osella, Spark

1986 Osella FA1H Danner

In the 1986 season the Osella team raced the FA1G alongside older FA1F and new FA1H, all three being equally non-competitive. The FA1H compared to FA1G had improved bodywork and revised  suspension – pushrod in the front and pullrod in the rear. The car, as the other 1986 Osella modifications, was powered by Alfa Romeo 890T 1.5 turbo rather than anticipated Motori Moderni engine. The FA1H was first seen incomplete at the 1986 San Marino Grand Prix, raced in the Belgian Grand Prix by Christian Danner, then in French and British GP by Piercarlo Ghinzani. The car crashed at Brands Hatch and was not seen again.

Danner, after failing to finish a race in the first six races with Osella,  moved to Arrows with their powerful BMW turbo engines and scored his first point in the Austrian Grand Prix. The scale model of Danner’s Osella FA1H from the 1986 Belgian Grand Prix represents the Raceland gold edition produced in by Spark as exclusive limited edition for the German scale models retailer.
