2013 Ferrari F138 Alonso

The model index of the 2013 Formula One Ferrari comes from a combination of the current year and the number of cylinders, to mark the fact that this is the eighth and the final year for the V8 engine configuration. The chassis was designed by Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis and Loic Bigois with Luca Marmorini leading the engine and electronics design. The F138  was driven by two time World Champion Fernando Alonso and his teammate Felipe Massa in his final season at the Scuderia. Finishing in third during the Constructors’ Championship, Ferrari claimed an impressive 354 points, with Fernando Alonso finishing runner up in the Drivers’ Championship with 242 points. Alonso’s season was hugely successful, with the Spanish driver claiming two race victories, at the Chinese Grand Prix and Spanish Grand Prix, as well as seven other podium finishes (five-second places and two third-place finishes). Massa finished 8th in the championship with one podium result – 3rd place at the Spanish Grand Prix.
