The VJM06 is the third car to be overseen by technical director, Andrew Green, and it was the evolution of the 2012 car with the removal of the stepped nose the most obvious change. The car was driven by Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil, who returned to the team after spending the 2012 season out of the sport. Both drivers were regular top 10 finishers. Di Resta collected 48 points and finished the season 12th in the championship table, Sutil was 13th with 29 points. The team ended the season 6th in the constructors.
