The SF14 was the car designed and built by Dallara for the Super Formula series in Japan. The car featured sandwich carbon/alluminium honeycomb chassis and was powered by 2.0 L turbocharged Honda HR-414E or Toyota RI4A engines. The 2014 season was the second year for the premier Japanese single-seater series under new name (it was Formula Nippon in 1996-2012) and the first year with the new car manufacturer (after March, Reynard, Lola and Swift). The championship was won by Kazuki Nakajima. For the 2013 Super GT champion Yuhki Nakayama, 2014 was his second full season in Super Formula. Nakayama driving for Hong Kong KCMG team (the only non-Japanese stable in the series) was one of the outsiders of the championship, without scoring a single point.
