



1924 Indy-500 winning car, driven by Lora Corum (first 111 laps) and Joe Boyer (last 89 laps). Corum, in third place, was replaced by the more well-known Joe Boyer on lap 111 on orders of the head of the team after Boyer’s car developed trouble. Corum received the prize money and was credited with the victory.
