2010 was the fifth racing season for Audi R10 diesel powered cars. While the newer R15 was available for Audi Team Joest, two old R10 (#14 and #15) were privately entered by Colin Kolles. the Kolles R10 was not hampered by the new restrictor regulations which should have shaved off 60 bhp from the diesel-powered prototypes. Both cars failed to finish because too much strain from torque was put onto the gearbox. Car #14 was driven by Scott Tucker / Manuel Rodrigues / Christophe Bouchut, and #15 by Christian Bakkerud, Oliver Jarvis and Christijan Albers.
