Alexander Kay (Alec) Poole, an Irish motor racing driver from Dublin, won the British Saloon Car Championship in his first season in 1969. He competed successfully in saloon and sports car races in Great Britain throughout the 1960s-70s. In 1969 he drove a privately entered Mini Cooper S.
