Oscar Roberto Castellano raced in Turismo Carretera in 1981-1991 contesting 157 races and winning 27 times. He was three-time champion of the category in 1987 , 1988 (both with Dodge Polara ) and 1989 (with Ford Falcon ). He was also runner-up in 1984 , 1990 and 1991. He was one of the last “driver-preparators” since he assembled his own car. His cars were usually painted orange and so were nicknamed “La Naranja Mecánica” (“the orange cars”).
