In 1971 German truck and bus manufacturer MAN (abbreviation of Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg) acquired Büssing AG, one of the oldest German truck producers. MAN continued building trucks developed by Büssing, with MAN cab, under MAN-Buessing badge. Büssing’s logo, the lion of Brunswick, has since decorated the radiator grilles of all commercial vehicles made by MAN. The MAN-Buessing 19.320 truck powered by 320 HP turbodiesel engine served as car transporter for Rothmans Porsche sportscar team in the 1980s when the team won several editions of Le Mans 24 hours race.
