



The 1923 racing season in Russia was opened in June with a series of kilometer-long speed races, organized by the Petrograd Automobile Club. Driver V.D. Serebryannikov in a Mercedes developed a maximum speed of 188 km/h. Gustav Viya, the chief of the Petrograd Provincial Council garage, drove his Russo-Balt K12/24 in these trials.
