1974 Surtees TS16 Pace

Surtees TS16 designed by team founder and owner John Surtees, was a conventional mid-1970s F1 car featured aluminium alloy monocoque and powered by     Ford Cosworth DFV 3-litre engine. The Team Surtees started the season with Carlos Pace and Johen Mass but in the second half of the season changed pilots frequently, mainly for financial reasons. French Jose Dolhem and Jean-Pierre Jabouille, British Derek Bell, Austrians Helmut Koinigg and Dieter Quester took the drivers’ seat in various races.

Carlos Pace spent the first half of the season with the team and recorded 4th place finish at  his home Brazilian GP, scoring the only points for the Surtees team in the 1974. After British GP Pace left Surtees and joined Brabham where he was able to finish second in the season-ending US Grand Prix, and took his first and only F1 win in 1975 Brazilian GP.
