The TS19 designed by John Surtees and Ken Sears was introduced for 1976 season, and was raced by the team until the beginning of 1978. In 1976 Surtees entered two cars, one for Alan Jones with the controversial sponsorship by Durex condoms, and second for Brett Lunger sponsored by Campari. Jones was able to finish in points in three races and was 15th in the final drivers’ standings. Lunger scored zero. Swedish Conny Andersson, former motocross and F3 competitor, replaced Lunger in the Dutch Grand Prix, in a car sponsored by Chesterfield cigarettes.
