The Sauber C33, designed by Eric Gandelin, Ben Waterhouse and Willem Toet, and powered with a customer Ferrari powertrain, was one of the outsiders of the season, along with the Caterham team. Driven by Esteban Gutiérrez and Adrian Sutil, Sauber failed to score points for the first time in their history in 2014.
