The 2023 season was the best for the Aston Martin F1 team since the 2021 when Lawrence Stroll rebranded Racing Point to Aston Martin. The team signed Fernando Alonso and started the season so well that they could not avoid accusations of copying Red Bull. But in the second half of the season its performance began to deteriorate. Lance Stroll finished the season 10th with 4th place finish in Australia as his season’s best. In comparison, Alonso was 4th in the championship with 8 podiums.
