The Mercedes car for the 2023 Formula One season, the F1 W14, was designed by James Allison (Chief Technical Officer), Mike Elliott (Technical Director) and John Owen (Chief Designer). The car was driven by 7-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who completed his second full season with the team. The W14 became Mercedes’ first winless car since 2011’s MGP W02. Hamilton ended up 3rd in the drivers’ championship with 10 points, Russell finished 8th.
