In the 2022 Japanese Super Formula Championship, the fiftieth season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, 12 teams and 21 drivers were competed. Giuliano Alesi and Sacha Fenestraz were the only two non-Japanese drivers in the series. All teams raced Dallara SF19 car powered either by Honda or Toyota engines. Alesi drove for Kuo Vantelin Team TOM’S and was able took only 3 points for his 8th place in round 2 and finished the series 20th.
