



The ninth season of the FIA Formula E championship began its third generation of technical regulations. The new car, Gen 3, with the new chassis again built by Spark Racing Technology and now powered by two powertrains, with a second one added to the front axle, increasing the maximum power output from 250 kW to 600 kW. The weight of the car was reduced by 60 kg. Increased power and reduced weight saw maximum speeds climb to over 320 km/h.
Jake Hughes known for his quite long career in minor formulas, including F3 and F2, moved to Formula E from 2022-23 season. He joined NEOM McLaren Formula E Team and was a regular point scorer ending the season 12th.
