GCAM is a Swiss brand of high-quality, hand-built 1:43 scale car models, founded by experienced modeler and collector Guy Chavannes from the Lausanne region. The project began in 2010. Its main goal is to recreate exact scale copies of the racing cars that Swiss pilots used in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Miniatures are handcrafted from high-quality polyester resin (handbuilt resin) with extensive use of many small parts made using the photo-etching method. The brand’s catalog includes rare French, British, German and Italian racing cars, as well as unique Swiss sports prototypes from the 1960s to 1990s (for example, the AC Ace Bristol from the Gaschnang brothers, Cheetah, Debora, Lucchini and Brun Motorsport cars). Models are available in two versions – as kits for self-assembly and as fully assembled factory models. Each finished GCAM model is exclusive to collectors, since limited editions usually amount to only 30 to 35 copies per release.
