Starter

French brand founded in Marseille in 1983 by former employees of another well-known model company, Record. Main specialization was mainly racing cars (Formula 1, Le Mans, rally cars, NASCAR), as well as rare serial French cars of that era.Models were sold both as ready-made handbuilt miniatures and as kits made of polyester resin. In 2000, the company was bought by their main local competitor, Provence Moulage (which was also based near Marseille, in Aubagne). By the mid-2000s, the original production in France was completely discontinued, and the molds and the name were later transferred to the Norev concern.
