Famous “Alfetta” was the most successful Grand Prix car in F1 in early post-war seasons and won two first Driver’s World Championship seasons in 1950-51. The 159, which was used in 1951, was a reworked version of 158 designed back in 1937 and won 1950 championship. Juan Manuel Fangio took his first World Champion title with 159 in 1951 winning 4 Grand Prix, including Swiss, French and Spanish Championship races and non-championship Bari GP.
