Ferrari 312 series was one of the most successful and famous Grand Prix cars from Maranello. Initially designed by Mauro Forghieri for 1975 season, it raced in various versions from 1975 until 1980 and won 27 races out of 90. 312T4 version was built for 1979 season with major improvements in the field of aerodynamics in order to follow ground effect design introduced by Colin Chapman’s Lotus in 1978. The car was fast enough to match  any rival and very reliable. Jody Scheckter and Gilles Villeneuve won 3 races each and took 1st and 2nd positions respectively  in the Drivers’ Championship. Gilles Villeneuve whose car is modeled in this Minichamps scale model won in South Africa, USA-West and USA Grand Prix.
