Cooper T51 Climax is one of the most prominent cars of the end of 1950s era of rear-engined revolution in Formula 1. The car was constructed by Owen Maddock and used by Cooper Car Company and some private entrants in 1959-1960 seasons. Various entrants also raced the T51 in several configurations until 1963. Driving this car Jack Brabham won his first Drivers’ Championship title in 1959 taken victories at Monaco and British Grand Prix. Cooper works team composed of Brabham, McLaren and Gregory, got the 1959 Constructors’ title as well.
