Ferrari 375 was designed by Aurelio Lampredi I 1950 to replace supercharged 125. After intermediate variant, 275 F1, fitted with 3.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, 375 was finally developed to be powered by 4.5-litre V12. The racing debut of the 375 was in the 1950 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. In 1951 375 F1 was the main Ferrari’s weapon. Jose Froilan Gonzales won the 1951 British GP, and Alberto Ascari took the victories in German and Italian Grand Prix. Gonzales’ win is the first Ferrari victory in F1 World Championship race.
