The famous “Project 34”, known simply as six-wheeler, was revolutionary design by Derek Gardner. The car used four specially manufactured 10-inch diameter (254 mm) wheels and tyres at the front, with two ordinary-sized wheels at the back. For the 1977 season the P34 was redesigned for cleaner aerodynamics. The 1977 car indexed as P34B was at the disposal of Patrick Depailler and Ronnie Peterson. In general, performance of P34B was lower than of P34 in 1976. Best result of P34B was 3rd places of Depailler in South Africa and Japan and Peterson’s 3rd position in Belgium. This scale model by Quartzo is Depailler’s car from Monaco Grand Prix.
