1906 Laurin & Klement Voiturette

Laurin & Klement was Czech car, motorcycle and bicycle manufacturer brand founded in 1895 in Mlada Boleslav by Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement. Until 1905 the company produced two-wheeled vehicles. The first L&K car was built in 1905. It was Laurin & Klement Voiturette type A. The car had a 2-seated Phaeton chassis and was powered by 2-cylinder 1005 ccm 7 HP engine which allowed to achieve 40 km/h. In 1906 new modification, Voiturette Type B, was designed. Type B used the similar body, but was equipped with the slightly more powerful 1399 ccm 7 horsepower  engine. The Laurin & Klement Voiturette was occasionally raced in touring car trials and in races in voiturette class. This vintage plastic scale  model was made by Czech Igra brand in 1970s.
