In 1974, the second season for Graham Hill’s Embassy Racing Team, Hill switched from Shadow to Lola cars. After very little success with Shadow, Hill commissioned its own vehicles from Lola Cars. Lola designed the T370 based on their huge experience in F5000 design. Not surprisingly, the car created by Andy Smallman looks very similar to Lola’s F5000 cars. It was powered by standard Ford Cosworth DFV wich was the fully stressed member of the monococque chassis. The most distinctive feature of the T370 was an extremely large airbox. At the beginning of the season two Embassy cars were driven by Graham Hill and Guy Edwards, but later Edwards was replaced by Rolf Stommelen. The German debuted with Embassy-Lola at the Austrian Grand Prix. The scale model by Spark relates to the next round, Italian Grand Prix, where Stommelen retired due to suspension failure.
