Michael Hawthorn was the first British Formula 1 world Champion. He has achieved this title in 1958 driving Ferrari 246 for Scuderia Ferrari. The 246 was the first F1 car used V6 engine – it was 2417 cc Dino V6 engine with a 65° angle between the cylinder banks – as well as the last front-engined car to win Grand Prix. Hawthorn was able to win the Championship title with the only one win at French Grand Prix at Reims, while his main rival Stirling Moss achieved four victories but the lot of retirements in other rounds put him only on 2nd final Championship position, 1 point behind Hawthorn. The model represents car driven by Hawthorn at the Belgian Grand Prix and is from Fabbri Ferrari F1 Collection.
