The car debuted at 1924 Circuito di Cremona when Antonio Ascari won at over 158 km/h. The powerful Alfa team in 1924 with Count Gastone Brilli-Peri, Giuseppe Campari and Antonio Ascari won two remaining Grand Epreuves. In August Campari captured the French Grand Prix at Lyon, and in September Ascari won the Italian Grand Prix.
