The Ferrari 625 was based on Formula 2 Ferrari 500 car fitted with the new 2.5-litre 625 engine. The 625 won two World Championship races, one each in 1954 and 1955, although it was not so fast as dominated Mercedes W196. Maurice Trintignant won at Monaco GP in 1955 behind the wheel of this Ferrari 625, it was the only Ferrari victory in the 1955 season. See also model of this car by Quartzo.
