Grand Prix History in Scale Models

1955, Brumm, Juan Manuel Fangio, Mercedes-Benz, World Champions

1955 Mercedes-Benz W196 Fangio

In 1954 Mercedes-Benz came back to Grand Prix racing for the first time since the Second World War. The return was as triumphant as it was short – after easy winning of the 1954 and 1955 World Championships, Daimler-Benz has left the F1 scene for a long time. In 1955 Juan Manuel Fangio won 4 races driving the W196, including season closing Italian Grand Prix. This scale model from Brumm’s Autostory edition represents Fangio’s dirt-stained winning car from Monza after the finish of the race.
