The 006 designed by Geoff Willis (Technical Director), Jorg Zander (Chief Engineer), Willem Toet (Director of Aerodynamics and Design), Simon Lacey (Head of Aerodynamics) was the most competitive car of the British American Racing. Driven by Jenson Button and Takuma Sato, the car scored 11 podiums and a single pole position, with the BAR-Honda team finishing second in the 2004 championship. Jenson Button played a major role in this success, while Sato’s achievements were much more modest. The Japanese won only one podium (he was third in the USA) and in the final Driver’s standings he was 8th, 5 positions below his teammate.
