





In Goodwood Trophy, non-championship Formula 1 race, held on 25th of September, the Vanwall Special now had a full 2.5 litre engine. The radiator tubes now disappeared from the top of the nose with radiator now mounted vertically inside the bodywork. The car in hands of Peter Collins was second only to Moss’ Maserati in practice. Peter managed to hold 2nd position till the finish of the race, marking most promising debut of the British car.
