Arciero Racing established by Frank Arciero competed in IndyCars in 1982 – 2001. In 1989 – 1991 Arciero used Penske PC17 chassis, built in 1988 and powered by Buick 3300 V6 turbocharged engine. The success of the team with various drivers was quite modest. In the 1990 CART season Arciero’s main driver was John Ranson Lewis III, better known as Randy Lewis, from Charlotte, North Carolina. Lewis never was a driver of champion caliber. He raced in CART since 1983, and in 81 CART starts his best finish was an 8th in 1987. In the 1990 championship Lewis got just two points for 12th place finish in Detroit Grand Prix and Firestone 400 held at Michigan International Speedway.
