





The Ferrari 500 was a Formula 2 racing car designed by Aurelio Lampredi and used by Ferrari in 1952 and 1953, when the World Championship was run to F2 regulations. In the 1953 season Scuderia Ferrari was represented by 4 cars team with Ascari, Giuseppe “Nino” Farina, Luigi Villoresi and Mike Hawthorn. Ascari won 5 Grand Prix, Hawthorn was victorious in France and Farina took the victory in the German Grand Prix. The Italian veteran and 1950 World Champion was 3rd in the final Championship standings behind Ascari and Fangio.
