The Ferrari 500 was a Formula 2 racing car designed by Aurelio Lampredi and used by Ferrari in 1952 and 1953, when the World Championship was run to F2 regulations. The car dominated both Formula 2 seasons and brought two consecutive World Championships to Alberto Ascari. One of the private Ferrari clients was Louis Rosier who ran his own 500 in 1952-53 under the banner of Ecurie Rosier. Despite the best car, Rosier did not score a single point in the 1952-53 races.
