







Swiss racing stable Ecurie Espadon was founded by Swiss driver Rudi Fischer in 1948, and competed in Formula 2 and Formula 1 until 1953. In the 1952 Swiss Grand Prix, in Bern, Fischer finished second to Piero Taruffi. Later he took 3rd place at the German Grand Prix, and was classified as high as 4th on the final Drivers’ Championship standings, behind 3 works Ferrari drivers Ascari, Farina and Taruffi.
