





The 2019–20 FIA Formula E Championship was the sixth season of the FIA Formula E championship. The championship was due to be contested over fourteen rounds in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, North America, and South America. But seven ePrix – at New York City, Paris, Rome, Sanya, London and the inaugural Jakarta and Seoul ePrix were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In their place six ePrix were scheduled across three different layouts at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit between 5–13 August. In the 2019-20 season Porsche Formula E team made its debut in the series. They provided their own powertrain, and the cars were driven by Swiss Neel Jani and German Andre Lotterer. Lotterer made his debut with Porsche at Diriyah finishing 2nd in round 1, and finishing 14th in round 2. Later he achieved one more podium and finished the season 8th with 71 points. Jani scored only 9 points, and Team Porsche finished the season on 8th place among12 Formula E teams.
